inspiring entrepreneurs

Entrepreneurship and the development of an entrepreneurial spirit among European citizens are considered a priority, especially now, during the current crisis, with unemployment rates hitting historic highs across many EU countries.

Aspiring and young entrepreneurs are already benefitting from several initiatives already carried out across Europe looking into boosting entrepreneurship. However, they are in need of a more favourable, promotive, and lasting environment for business ideas to flourish.

MENTEE - Mentoring, Networking and Training for European Entrepreneurs (Proj. No. 2014-1-PL01-KA202-003383) is an EU co-funded project under the Erasmus + Programme of the European Commission, setting out to do exactly this. During the project a tested mentoring model developed by the successful EU co-funded project fe:male under the Lifelong Learning Programme will be newly adapted and transferred, addressing firstly new entrepreneurs who participated in European Commission’s ‘Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs’ programme, but also other aspiring entrepreneurs.

Experienced entrepreneurs will be trained to become active mentors, while face-to-face mentoring will be offered to 100 aspiring and young entrepreneurs in Greece, Italy, Poland, and Portugal. MENTEE will develop an online platform, reaching out to wider audiences for further learning and networking opportunities. If you are a ‘wanna-be’ entrepreneur you will have the chance to benefit from a strong network of experienced mentors that can share practical knowledge, as well as other start-up entrepreneurs. In addition, Mentee’s e-learning tools will help you to gradually and successfully build and maintain your business.
